Born and raised in Arizona, Karen grew up in the small town of Camp Verde where she grew to love the slow and quiet country life.  

In 1995, Karen left Camp Verde to attend college, graduating from Northern Arizona University with a BA in English in 1998 and a MA in Rhetoric in 2000.  In 2002, Karen began work on a PhD in Christian Women's Studies. 

In 2008, Karen and Ryan started a network marketing business, which led to a partnership with Judy O'Higgins and Kristi Lee.  Together, we've written a series of four books encouraging women of all ages to explore network marketing as a source of financial and time freedom.  License to Play, written for all moms (working moms, stay at home moms, moms working from home) was published in 2009.  License to Dream will be published in 2010.  Karen is also working on several other projects. 

In 1996, Karen married Ryan, and in 2002 their first child, a beautiful baby girl, was born.  Desiring to raise their children in the small town atmosphere they loved, the Palmers moved back to Camp Verde.  In addition to their sweet daughter, Megan, Ryan & Karen also have two handsome boys, Tristan and Josyan.

Karen's heart's desire has always been to be home with her children, and she believes that being a Mom is one of the most meaningful titles a woman can hold. 

However, Karen also believes that women have gifts and talents that they must share with the world.  Her passion is to help women find balance between doing the good things God created them to do and being mothers who are present in their homes.
